India is a spiritual land and the country is home to many famous and historic religious places. Almost every state has such attractions that see good footfalls and generate revenue. Tourism is one of the big revenue generation areas and people coming from other countries explore such places.

As another attraction, the world’s tallest statue of Lord Krishna will be coming to India, and the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Gujarat announced the same. The work to set up the statue will be done in a phased manner and the first leg of work will start next year.

The state Health Minister reportedly said that the state will be set up in Dwaraka town as part of the 'Devbhumi Dwarka Corridor'. Along with the statue, other facilities like 3D immersive experience zone, and the Shirmad Bhagwad Geeta experience zone.

It is said that the 'Devbhumi Dwarka Corridor' would be developed as the biggest religious center in western India. In the first phase, the authorities will also set up a gallery so that the devotees can have a look at the historic city of Dwaraka.

As per the information, the first phase of the work of the 'Devbhumi Dwarka Corridor' is likely to be started in September next year. In a phased manner the project will be finished.

Dwarka is already a big attraction in Gujarat as it is one of the four temples dedicated to lord Krishna. The Four temples called Chardham were started by Adi Shankaracharya. The four temples are at the four corners of the country.

As per Hindu beliefs, Lord Krishna ruled the kingdom making Dwarka his kingdom. Seeing this the government might have decided to add more attractions to the temple so that it will see more footfalls.

The governments are focusing on famous and historic temples to boost tourism. The Bhavya Ram Mandir is being constructed at Ayodhya in Gujarat and the temple is expected to get finished in a couple of years. Coming back to Telangana, the state government spent a big amount to renovate the historic Yadagirigutta temple. The famous Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is generating good revenue now.
