Compared to the general elections, the political equations are said to have been changed in Telangana. The Lok Sabha elections became prestigious for the three major parties.
The BRS leaders are alleging that the Congress Party made promises that cannot be implemented and cheated the Telangana people. They also say that the people will teach the party a big lesson. On the other hand, the Congress party is saying that it is seeing Lok Sabha elections as a referendum for their ruling. BJP leaders are saying that they are the alternative to Congress.
Keeping this aside, there is a popular opinion that there would be a monetary impact on the Telangana elections. There is a reason for this. During the Assembly Elections, it was said that there was a flood of money making it one of the costliest elections in the country.
Be it the Real Estate Boom or some other reason, Rs 2000-Rs 4000 was given per vote in the Assembly elections. As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, there is a narrative that there might be a big flow of notes.
As per this, neither BRS nor BJP is distributing money to the voters. At the same time, the ruling Congress is said to be making plans to distribute Rs 500 per vote in some places. A small exercise was started at the ground level reportedly. A shocking response is said to be coming from the voters.
The media reports say that the voters are saying no to Rs 500 per vote. While no one knows whether they were expecting Rs 2000 per vote or whether they got habituated to the trend, they are saying no to the money they are offered. It is said that they are directly denying the offer if it is Rs 500. Are the leaders or voters who are responsible for this wonder the observers?
