The wait is finally over. The election code will come into effect from today. The Gazette notification for the elections will be announced on the 18th of this month. Cut to two months 18 days(78 days) the polling will commence on the 13th of May. If the nerves can be held for 20 more days the votes will be counted on June 4th. Now the observers say that the notification came as a shock to the leaders.
The election schedule was issued for Andhra Pradesh along with the Lok Sabha polls. As part of this, the Gazette notification will be issued on the 18th of this month. April 25th is the last date for accepting the nominations. April 26 is the last date to withdraw the nominations. May 13 is the date of polling and counting is scheduled for the 4th of June.
June 6 is the last date for completing the elections. Talking about AP, the elections will be held after two months 18 days from now. With this, we are hearing that the leaders faced a shock and they are worried.
Usually, the elections will be held within one month of issuing the notification. All the work will be done before the cadre and people come out of the mood. The parties conducting the campaign activities by maintaining the cadre and maintaining tempo in the voters is common. But the same is not an easy task when the period is two months 18 days.
This is a big task now. It is said that the leaders are worried about this, calculating the expenses that go into this. The calculations they made earlier went for a toss. Keeping aside the debate of winning and losing, the candidates are said to be worried about the expenses.
