Amaravati Farmers Angry At Rayudu, Who Visited Velagapudi!

Former cricketer Ambati Rayudu has been hitting the headlines often after he stepped down from cricket. Putting an end to the long wait, Ambati Rayudu announced retirement. He is touring the state and meeting people to know their issues. As he is from the Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh he is meeting people there.

Now Ambati Rayudu ended up in a tough situation. Ambati Rayudu visited the Velagapudi village in the Amaravati region. He paid a visit to the Veerabhadra Swamy temple and sought the blessings of the almighty.

It is known that the Amaravati issue is a sensitive matter. Farmers and people who gave thousands of acres for the capital city have been fighting the demand to have a single capital instead of three capitals. They even staged padayatras seeking court permission.

When they got to know that Ambati Rayudu came there, the locals went there and invited him to visit the place where they are staging a protest. They invited him to have a talk with them about the issues they are facing.

But Ambati Rayudu is believed to have told them that he would meet them when he visits them next time. This reportedly did not go well with the farmers. So to calm them down Ambati Rayudu reportedly told them that Amaravati would be the capital.

It is known that the YCP government is very adamant about having three capitals for the state. It has been reported that Ambati Rayudu might take the YCP route. Many say that he might have refused the Amaravati farmers' request keeping this in mind.
