Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for the much-awaited general elections. The political observers say that the stakes around the elections are high this time. The politics are revolving around the alliance in the state. Three parties might join hands for the alliance.

The BJP-TDP-Janasena alliance looks almost confirmed. TDP and Janasena are in alliance already and BJP might join them soon. Recently Pawan Kalyan said that he requested the BJP for the alliance. Now it looks like another alliance might take place if everything goes well.

In what could be an unexpected development, Congress and Communists might join hands. A crucial meeting would take place tomorrow and the meeting might pave the way for the alliance.

AP PCC Chief YS Sharmila might meet the CPI and CPM leaders. If the meeting gives any positive outcome then we might see Congress and the Communists working together for the elections.

There are a few common things between Congress and the Communists. Both are against the BJP and are targeting the ruling YSRCP on various issues.

The communists have been saying that YCP is ignoring the state interests and is supporting the BJP. Earlier, they expressed interest in joining hands with the TDP, but the opposition party did not respond.

The attack from the Congress against the YSRCP became intense after Sharmila was made the PCC chief. She even alleged that Jagan compromised on the special status demand and other things.

So the parties have a few things in common. On top of this, they are not that strong to go to elections alone. As it would be a mutual benefit, the two sides might join hands.

Everything depends on the crucial meeting between YS Sharmila and the Communist parties. We might get clarity on this soon.
