An interesting observation says that Andhra Pradesh has the second highest NOTA votes with 1.28 percent while Bihar is at the top.
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 April 2024 8:15 AM GMTAndhra Pradesh is gearing up for a big election fight. The upcoming general elections mark the third term after the state was bifurcated. In the wake of the upcoming elections, there is a big interest around the outcome of the elections. Three parties-BJP, TDP, and Janasena allied for the elections.
Ahead of the upcoming elections, an interesting thing has come out. People are showing interest in voting for NOTA. The facility was brought to help voters who are not interested in voting for any candidate who is in the race for the elections from the constituency.
An interesting observation says that Andhra Pradesh has the second highest NOTA votes with 1.28 percent while Bihar is at the top. Being in second position is not the only shock, another thing is that the average of votes is higher than the national average.
This raises a new doubt on whether voters are not interested in anyone for the elections to cast their vote. This is the reason behind the NOTA votes is what the observers say. Usually, AP elections raise many eyeballs and people talk about it more. On the flip side, NOTA votes are the second highest.
Interesting stats show us the big picture of NOTA. Even the constituencies of big names could not escape the votes. Kuppam represented by TDP boss Chandrababu saw 2160 NOTA votes last time followed by Pulivendula(2905), Gajuwaka(1764), Bhimavaram(1492), and Mangalagiri(1119).
The winning margin in Mangalagiri was around 5,000 and more than 1000 votes were polled for NOTA. With this, we can understand one thing even people are not happy with big names too.
