The wait is finally over. The election schedule for Telangana was released recently and the countdown had started. The political heat in the state had increased with this. We can see that the political parties in the state are busy with campaign activities and strategies. The major parties have their respective predictions on the election performance.
Ahead of the much-awaited election, a big discussion is going on among the political circles. It is said that no party will get the magic figure and we will get to see interesting developments in the political arena.
Reports say that a private survey was held in the state and the outcome is surprising. The survey said that no party will get the required magic figure. The predictions are that the Congress party will get 54 seats while the ruling BRS will get 47 seats. BJP and MIM will get 11 and 7 seats respectively.
The magic figure to form the government is 60. So any two of the parties should join hands to come to power. However, it appears tough for the parties to join hands.
If BJP and BRS come together the seats will be 58 and two more seats are required. If the two parties come together, MIM will not join hands given the ideological difference. If the BRS and AIMIM join hands the seats will be short of the magic figure.
Congress and BRS will get more seats as per the survey and they can form government. But the chances of two parties joining hands are very low. Congress and BRS cannot go hand in hand.BJP and MIM will also not walk with the Congress.
Congress which is expected to get more seats as per the survey is said to be working on restricting BJP to fewer seats so that it can be in a good position. On the other hand, KCR reportedly wants BJP to get more seats so that he can get the required help.
On the other hand, a big discussion is going on about how much the MLAs would get if hung happens. In such situations, the parties try hard to woo the MLAs from other outfits. So MLAs are offered positions like Ministries and others. A debate is going on about what all the MLAs will be offered.
