Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma the two modern-day giants of the Indian team were selected for the ongoing Afghanistan series eyeing the World Cup. After a long gap, the two big names were selected. India won the two matches and is eyeing to clean sweep the series.

M. Chinnawamy Stadium in Bengaluru is hosting the 3rd T20I, the very familiar stadium to Kohli. The former skipper needed just six runs to reach the 12k runs milestone on the short format. He received a big welcome when he entered the ground.

But the fans could have not predicted that they would see Kohli losing his wicket for a duck. On the very fistball, he faced. Unable to read the ball he went for a big shot only to get caught out.

The Chinnaswamy stadium went pin-drop silent with Kohli’s wicket. The expression of the fans' faces speaks volumes about the impact it had on the match. The fans in the stadium went wild when Virat Kohli entered the ground. But it did not take much time for them to go obsolete silent.

There is a reason behind the fans going silent. For the first time in his glorious career, Virat Kohli recorded a golden duck. Though Virat Kohli has a few ducks, this is the first golden duck for him.

Virat Kohli enjoys a massive following in Bengaluru as he represents the Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) team in the IPL. As the skipper and player, Bengaluru loves him and Chinnaswamy ground is the home ground for the team.

To summarise the match, the Afghanistan bowlers breathed fire on the ground as India lost four early wickets and two wickets were ducks. In just five overs India lost four wickets and was at 22/4. Fareed Ahmad agave two early blows by sending Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli in consecutive balls. Sanju Samson was also out for a duck.
