Will TDP seniors check-mate Bhuma Akhila Priya in Kurnool district?

Will the TDP oblige the request from former minister and Bhuma family scion Bhuma Akhila Priya? Akhila Priya has been strongly demanding that her family be given both the Allagadda and Nandyal assembly constituencies to her family. While she wants to contest from Allagadda, represented in the past by her father, her brother Jagat Vikhyat Reddy to contest from Nandyal.

However, the TDP biggies appear to have other ideas. They want Akhila Priya alone to be given the party ticket. But, she has problems galore too. Her cousin Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy is seeking to contest from Allagadda. He is also said to be encouraging dissidents against her in Nandyal constituency.

Meanwhile, old-time Bhuma follower AV Subba Reddy too is trying to contest from Allagadda. Reddy has grassroots level support in the constituency. He has a running feud with Bhuma Akhila Priya. Also, he has the support of former MLA Bonda Uma Maheshwara Rao, who is quite close to Chandrababu Naidu.

Several TDP seniors are also said to be ranged against Bhuma Akhilapriya. They are all said to be lobbying hard against her. Many are upset at the abrasive and combative behaviour of Akhilapriya. Many say that Chandrababu might give Nandyal to Bhuma Bramananda Reddy and deny ticket to Akhila Priya in Allagadda.

As of now, there is total uncertainty in the district over giving ticket to Akhilapriya. Let’s wait and see how things unfold.
