Tirupati MLA Appointed As New TTD Chairman!

Y V Subba Reddy has been serving as the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which runs the holy shrine of Tirupati. He was given two consecutive chances to serve as the Chairman. YV Subba Reddy's tenure is coming to an end in a few days.

As the tenure is coming to an end, speculations and debates have been doing rounds on who gets the big opportunity to serve as the TTD chairman. Putting an end to this, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy picked a candidate.

As per the media reports, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy was picked as the new TTD chairman. The tenure of the post is two years. Under the post, he gets to oversee the activities of the richest temple.

This is not the first time Bhumana Karunakar Reddy got the opportunity to serve as TTD Chairman. In the combined Andhra Pradesh, Bhumana served in the position between 2006-08 when YSR was the Chief Minister.

Bhumana is serving as the Tirupati MLA and the holy shrine falls in the same constituency. The MLA is said to be very close to the YS family and as an example of this, he got the opportunity in tenure of YSR and his son YS Jagan as well.

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy is expected to stay away from the next general elections and his son might take forward his legacy. As he would distance himself from politics, Bhumana might have got the opportunity.
