But, Bill Gates will no longer deliver his keynote address at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, according to an official statement released on Thursday by the Gates Foundation India office.
The announcement was shared through the foundation’s official account, which stated that after careful consideration, and to ensure the focus remains on the summit’s key priorities, Mr. Gates will not be speaking at the event as originally scheduled. No further details were provided about the reason behind the decision.
The foundation clarified that it will continue to participate in the summit. Ankur Vora, President of the Africa and India Offices, will represent the organization and is expected to address the gathering later in the day.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is a major platform bringing together policymakers, technology leaders, innovators, and industry experts to discuss the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on society and economic growth.
