Time was when his speeches left the audience mesmerized. His wit, sarcasm and eloquence wowed the people and with his words he had set the political agenda. But, today his speeches are being seen as being repetitive, boring and insipid. The people appear no longer impressed by his word wizardry. Yes. No marks for guessing. We are talking of BRS boss KCR.

KCR has already completed one round of public meetings. Starting from October 15, he has almost addressed four meetings per day and covered nearly 50 assembly constituencies. But, if the response to his speeches is anything to go by, then the party is in serious trouble and the leader – KCR – is proving ineffective in wooing the masses.

Internal surveys have shown that despite the speeches, the party's graph is refusing to rise up. Even during the internal discussions, the party leaders are claiming that anti-incumbency is solidifying and this could spell doom for the party. KCR is now planning to cover the remaining seats with his whirlwind tours.

The party leaders now hope that KCR might turn the tables through effective poll management. KCR is known for his deft management of the booths. The party leaders feel that this is the last resort for them. Many BRS leaders at the grassroots level are already talking about a possible drubbing in the elections this time, say perceptive observers watching the poll trends.
