The cases include election cases, corruption cases, and illegitimate income. The tension that started with the disqualification of Kothagudem MLA Vanama Venkateshwara Rao by the court has been increasing. When Minister Srinivas Goud sought directives to quash the petition filed against him by Raghavendra Raju citing election affidavit tampering was rejected.
The court said that the petition filed by Raju has the eligibility to be investigated and gave orders for an investigation. Similarly, the speed in the case against Gangula Kamalakar filed by Bandi Sanjay on election irregularities has increased. On the other hand, there is an increase in the pace of the case against another Minister Koppula Eshwar. There are cases against Padmarao, Gongidi Sunitha, Gyadari Kishore, Patnam Narendra Reddy, Sabita Indra Reddy, Maganti Gopinath, Bibi Patil, and a few others.
These cases have been pending for years. But the High Court speeded up the cases and Chief Justice divided all the cases between 12 judges. A daily hearing was ordered to get a solution. Following the orders of the Chief Justice, the judges sought the details of the cases that are allotted to them.
Dates on which case should be heard when would be announced. On one hand, the elections are fast approaching. On the other hand, the High Court increased the speed in the cases which have been pending for some time. The tension among the leaders is increasing with fear of disqualification and others. The speed in the cases increasing against KCR, Ministers, and MLAs is the first time. If the verdict is against them before the elections, then they would not even have enough time to go for an appeal. If they have to face what happened with Vanama, then it would be a blunder.
