The Andhra Pradesh government saw a sensational development with the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. Many unexpected events unfolded in this. He was arrested and presented before the court. In a big blow for him and the party, the court granted him a remand of 14 days in the case.

Now the issue saw another development with Chandrababu facing another hammer blow. The former Chief Minister filed a petition seeking directives to be under house remand with the ACB Court. The court heard the arguments in the petition on Monday and the verdict was given today.

In a big shock to Chandrababu Naidu, the ACB Court quashed the petition filed by him. Senior lawyer Sidharth Luthra representing Chandrababu Naidu placed his arguments that considering the age, stature, and security aspects in the case, permission should be given for house remand.

The additional advocate general countered these arguments and said that Chandrababu Naidu is healthy now and there is good security for him in the prison. He also said that house reman is granted to people only if they are seriously ill.

Having been satisfied with the arguments of the ACB, the court quashed the petition. This is a sensational development and a big shock for the TDP chief in the case. While getting a remand in the case was a big shock, the house remand petition getting quashed was another shock.

After Chandrababu Naidu's arrest, Supreme Court lawyer Sidharth Luthra who earlier represented him in the cash-for-vote scam was brought on board. Many felt that Chandrababu Naidu might not get a remand. TDP followers believed that at least a house remand petition would be accepted. But there is no relief for the TDP boss.
