Celebratory Mood Hit India With Chandrayaan-3 Landing!

As a historic moment and a day to remember, ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 had a successful landing on the moon's surface. For a couple of days, Indians have been praying for the spacecraft to have a safe landing. Their prayers paid off and the spacecraft successfully landed after a long journey.

Today is the day of landing for the spacecraft and ISRO scientists closely monitored the situation. It is known the ISRO said 15-20 minutes before the landing is very crucial. Making this true, an Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS) was initiated that helped the spacecraft to have a safe landing.

Chandrayaan-2 had to taste failure in the last leg of the journey and this time, ISRO made sure that no such issues would take place hence the Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS) was enabled. Everyone understood why the 20 to 17 minutes before the landing was termed as terror.

The automation process was started and the spacecraft landed on its own after finding a good place to land. It was at 6:04 IST when the landing happened. India became the first country to land its spacecraft on the moon's southern pole. The region is said to be having frozen water and valuable elements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this is a day to remember and people cannot forget the historic day. The moment is special that even the NASA chief congratulated India on the successful landing.
