The ruling BRS in Telangana which won two consecutive terms is aiming for a hattrick win. It is adamant about scripting history as no party in the southern states is said to have achieved this. With eyes on the big aim, the ruling party is a few steps ahead compared to the opposition parties in the election preparation.

Putting an end to the long wait, Chief Minister KCR announced the final list of candidates. However, only 115 candidates were fixed and four seats were put on hold. There is no clarity on why the four seats were put on hold.

The sitting MLAs were given tickets for the upcoming polls barring a few which is a big shock. But another big shock came when many realized that a dominant caste was denied tickets as not even one candidate from the community was given a ticket.

It is known that in every state there are a few communities that can be deciding factors in elections. If we talk about Telangana, the Mudiraj community is one among them. In many constituencies their population is big and their votes can be a deciding factor.

If we look at the census, it is said that their population is more than 60 lakhs which is not less. Despite this, the community was neglected and not even one leader was given a ticket. BRS state leader Neelam Madhu Mudiraj is also said to have expressed his dissatisfaction with the community not getting at least one seat.

However, media reports say that there is a big reason behind this and based on a few surveys the decision was taken. It is known that Etela Rajender who was once a BRS leader hails from the same community. The reports are said to have hinted that the community would walk with Etela and others.

The community is said to be in plans to walk with strong leaders. Besides Etela Rajender, there is another leader from the community who is Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudiraj. He is currently serving as the chief of the Telangana Telugu Desam Party.

With the community reportedly in that plan, the ruling party might have taken the decision. However, a few say that though the surveys might hint that the community wants to support the leaders, that doesn't mean all the votes would be polled for them.
