Sharp Dip In Birthrate: Government Announces National Emergency!

Announcing a national emergency is not a small thing. A national emergency is announced only when the situation gets out of control and the efforts go out of hand. One thing is confirmed. If the national emergency is imposed by the government then we should understand one thing: the situation is nothing short of a disaster.

It is known that the population is increasing rapidly in the world with a few nations leading the increase. Recently India surpassed Dragon country China in terms of population and emerged as the most populous nation in the world. Countries like Indonesia and Brazil are seeing a rise in population besides India.

In contrast to this, a few countries are seeing a big dip in the population. Countries like South Korea are seeing a decline in the population rates. Compared to other countries, the population rate is falling fast in South Korea. Women not showing interest in having kids is said to be the main reason behind the dip in population. On top of this, the elderly population is also increasing.

It is said that more and more women are joining the cult. Women are showing more interest in being single and getting settled in life and seeing big heights in their careers. Even after attaining the age of 30 years, women are not showing interest in getting married and having kids. Another reason is that women employees feel they will stay back if they stop their careers to get married and have kids.

The reports say that even male employees are not interested in having kids. They come home tired after working in the office. They are tired to the point that they are too lazy to take care of house chores. For the same reason, it is said that they are not interested in having kids.

The situation is very alarming that the birthrate which indicates the average count of kids a woman can have in her life has reduced. With a dip of 8 percent, it fell to 0.73 percent. If the same continues then the South Korean population would be reduced by half percent by 2100. This made the South Korean government alert and announce a national emergency.

The government is doing everything it can do. To encourage women to have kids the government announced many benefits. However, it appears that the efforts are not paying off.
