Will it be Nani or will it be Chinni in Vijayawada?

Will it be Nani or will it be Chinni? This question is dogging the TDP supporters in Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency area. While sitting MP Kesineni Nani is eternally in the blow-hot-blow-cold mode abstaining from party programmes including the padayatra of Lokesh Babu, the party seems to be veering towards his brother Kesineni Chinni. Thus it could very well become a clash between two brothers in Vijayawada.

Ever since his victory in the 2019 elections, Nani has been engaged in a war of words with the party bosses. On several occasions, he has slammed the party leadership. At one stage, there were rumours that he would leave the party and join hands with the BJP. He stopped attending party functions and even skipped the recent padayatra of Nara Lokesh. The TDP boss made Kesineni Chinni as the incharge for the yatra.

Now,suddenly, Nani opened up again. He said that Vijayawada was his' and that he would contest and win from there again. If Nani choses to enter the fray, then what will become of Kesineni Chinni? What will happen to his political ambitions? Will the TDP give the ticket to Nani and sideline Chinni? As of now, it is not clear what will be the TDP's strategy for Vijayawada.

Some sources say that Nani possibly mended fences with the party boss Chandrababu Naidu. This must have given him the strength to claim Vijayawada his own. Without some sort of support from Chandrababu, Kesineni will not talk about Vijayawada being his own, they argue.
