Gossip : Former CJI In Race For TTD Chairman Post?

The Chairman post of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) which runs the holy shrine of Tirupati has been vacant for some time. There is a big buzz around the names who are in the race for the big post. After the election results were out, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy stepped down as TTD Chairman and the post has been vacant since then.

Now a piece of sensational news is doing rounds which alleges that former Chief Justice NV Ramana might get the big post if everything goes well. Reports say that two names are finalised and Chandrababu might pick one. It is said that the head of a media house is also in the race.

However, Chandrababu Naidu is said to be in favour of former CJI NV Ramana and he might get the big position. It is known that the alliance is in power in Andhra Pradesh and the decision of BJP and Janasena also matters here.

With NV Ramana it is said that Janasena and BJP might not say no given his statute. While there is no official confirmation on this, media reports are abuzz on this. Let us wait for the official word to come on this.

This is not the first time reports on the post went rounds. Earlier it was reported a popular Tollywood Producer is in the race and his association with the TDP added fuel to this. However, the reports turned out to be false as the Producer was not appointed to the TTD board.

The previous government was accused of mismanagement of the TTD board. During the campaign, both TDP and Janasena accused the previous government. Now the government has a big task of appointing the TTD chairman.
