Election Fever: Party Promises Buying Cattle Dung!

The Congress party almost made it a habit of hitting the headlines with the election guarantees. The unique nature of these guarantees is that the party is announcing the guarantees based on the socio and other aspects to cater to the voters in the concerned states.

For the Karnataka elections and Telangana elections, the guarantees were announced based on the aspects that concern the respective states. Now the party did the same for the upcoming Rajasthan elections. The manifesto for the Rajasthan elections was released which grabbed everyone's attention.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, party in-charge for Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, chief minister Ashok Gehlot, state party president Govind Singh Dotasra, and others were present when the guarantees for the polls were released and the party said that dung from cattle rearers will be purchased for ₹2 per kg.

Agriculture and dairy are two big sectors in Rajasthan. Stats say that the state accounts for around 11 percent of the total milk production in the county. With this, we can understand the importance of the sectors.

Having understood this the Congress party which is in power announced that it would purchase dung cattle for Rs 2 per kg under the Gowdhan guarantee. Out of all the guarantees, this guarantee grabbed everyone's attention.

The party announced seven guarantees for the voters in the poll-bound state including buying cow dung. Let us know the guarantees the grand old party announced for the upcoming general elections.
