The story was about the rise in auto sales during October. However, at the end of the report, readers found a sentence that clearly belonged to an AI tool.

It looked like a suggestion from the AI offering to create a more attractive or punchy version of the article. This line was meant for the writer’s internal use but was mistakenly left in the final copy.

Once the article went live, screenshots of the mistake spread quickly on social media. Many users mocked the newspaper and questioned how such an error could pass through the editing process of a major publication.
