Amid the tense situation, a YSRCP Minister made sensational comments on the party symbols and public understanding of them. His comments raised a new doubt on whether people are confused about YCP’s election symbol.
YCP and TDP are the major parties in the state. While the fan is YCP’s election symbol, TDP has a cycle as its symbol. The symbols are so popular that anyone can answer this. However, the comments made by Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao raised new doubts.
It is said that the Minister is busy with campaign activities. As part of this, he met a few voters. During the interaction, the Minister expressed his shock over people unable to find YCP’s symbol. He said that people are saying Cycle or Hand as the party’s symbol.
The Cabinet Minister said that people want to vote for the YCP but they are unable to find the correct symbol. People want to vote for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. But they could not get the symbol right. There is a need to create awareness among the people on this.
What Dharmana Prasada Rao said created a sensation. YCP is the ruling party and recorded a landslide victory in 2019 with 151 seats. The party leadership wants to push the seat count further and win 175 seats.But the minister shed light on the ground reality and said that people are not knowing the party’s symbol.
