Disaster: Portion Of Airport Roof Collapses Leaving 1 Dead!

The national capital Delhi has been facing heavy rains for two days. Even on Friday, it was the same case. Due to the rain, Delhi airport's Terminal-1 (T1) roof collapsed partially leading to a disaster. All of a sudden the roof collapsed on the cars damaging a few.
A person died on the spot while six people were injured. A portion of the roof collapsed suddenly. This led to heavy traffic at the terminal. With this the Terminal was closed and other terminals will be used. It is said that the timings of a few flights were also changed with this.
This shocking incident happened during the early hours of Friday. The Fire Services were called for the rescue operations. The injured people were taken to the nearby hospital. A man died on the spot as the iron beam fell on his car. He was crushed by it and his car was also damaged.
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu reached the spot and inspected the place. He announced ex-gratia to the victims. The concerned authorities informed him of what had happened and how the rescue operations were going on.
The Delhi Airport administration said that IndiGo and SpiceJet flights that were scheduled to depart from T1 were canceled till 2 PM. However, there are no changes to the flight timings that depart from the other terminals at the airport.
