Ec Rejects 267 Nominations, Babu Mohan, Ex-MP on The List!

Having done with the general elections episode, the youngest state in the country, Telangana is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections. The political observers are saying that we can expect a three-faced fight as the three major parties took the elections prestigiously. There is a big buzz around the Lok Sabha polls.

The last date to file the nomination is also over giving clarity on who will be in the race. As an example of the intensity around the polls, more than 800 candidates are in the race for 17 seats with over 1400 nominations.

However, a few candidates faced a big blow as their nominations were rejected. This is the biggest nightmare for the candidates as they cannot contest the elections. It looks like the episode is not different as many candidates saw their nominations getting rejected.

The information says that as many as 267 nominations were rejected and the nominations of noted names were also rejected. In what was unexpected the nomination of veteran actor, former MP Babu Mohan was also rejected.

It is known that Babu Mohan was with the BJP earlier. But he quit the party and joined the Praja Shanti Party. But he wanted to contest as the independent candidate and file a nomination paper from the Warangal MP seat. Despite following the nomination along with the voters. However, his nomination was rejected. As per the media reports, it is said that as the 10 ten voters did not sign his nomination was rejected.

Another big name on the list is Manda Jagannath, who was an MP earlier. This can be seen as a big shock for the ex-MP. He filed the nomination as the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate. Reports say that he did not submit the B-form resulting in the application getting rejected.

On the other hand, it is said that Manda Jagannath who filed his nomination from the Nagarkurnool constituency did not meet the criteria of signatures of 10 candidates. With this, he cannot contest as an independent candidate too.
