In the wake of the upcoming elections, the election code came into effect. With this police checkings are being made to look for liquor, money, and other goods. This is the case with almost every state as Lok Sabha elections are held and a few states will go for the general elections.

There is a limit to carry the money and that too they should show the required documents. People are fearing to step out with cash in the middle of the restrictions. Adding fuel to the fears, the authorities seized Rs 50,000 carried by a person. The reason is quite shocking. He was carrying 50,500 with him at that time.

As per the rules, a person can carry Rs 50,000 with them. If the cash crosses the limit then the money will be seized and the person has to show the required documents for the money or else the amount will be seized. A person faced a similar experience.

Going into details, a person who hails from Ganapavaram in West Godavari district was on his way to the temple city Vijayawada. After his car entered the 16th National Highway there was a Checkpost near Bommuluru.

Following the rules his car was checked and the authorities found that he was carrying Rs 50,500. With this, the money is said to have been seized by the officers which came as a big shock for him.

It is said that the person told the authorities that he was carrying the money for his personal needs and requested them to return the money as he was carrying just Rs 500 extra which is not a big amount. But his efforts went in vain with the authorities saying that rule is a rule.

Reports say that the person requested the authorities to let him go with the cash saying that he was carrying money for personal needs. But he was reportedly asked to show the required documents. The person was left in a big shock by this.
