She had been in the country for the last couple of years, and it appears that the stage is set for her return to Bangladesh very soon. In fact, she herself has spoken on this matter, and let us have a look into the same.
Breaking her long-standing public silence, fugitive former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has officially declared her intention to return to Dhaka this year. Speaking from exile in India nearly two years after the collapse of her government, Hasina firmly rejected her recent death sentence passed in absentia, labeling the judicial process as "illegal, unconstitutional, and politically motivated."
Shrugging off legal threats, the 78-year-old Awami League leader stated she does not fear death, framing her upcoming return as a crucial step toward restoring democratic rights and constitutional stability in Bangladesh.
The lady politician pointed out that she is not scared of death and confirmed that he would be returning to her home country of Bangladesh by the end of this year. This is a very strong decision made by the lady who already has a death sentence against her.
Meanwhile, India is providing political asylum to this female politician from Bangladesh for the last couple of years and this responsibility could be done by the end of this year as she is returning soon.
