Is the Latest Survey Giving Fake Hope To TDP?

A recent survey aimed at the next Lok Sabha polls gave big hope to the opposition Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh as it said that the party can win 10 seats. However, the survey said the ruling YSRCP might get 15 seats. Despite the prediction of fewer seats, TDP is celebrating the survey.

Supporters and followers of the opposition party are widely sharing the survey saying that the party is still strong and it can bounce back in the next polls. They have their reasons to do so. In the last elections, the party won just three seats. In the next polls, the might might get 10 seats, which is seven seats more.

However, there are a few doubts about this. Many ask if the party has the required candidates for the polls. TDP now has three MPs and getting the right candidates for the polls is not an easy task and the candidates should be strong enough to make the voters vote for the party.

Keeping this aside, does the party have those candidates, well the answer to this would be a big no. Even if the conditions are favorable, there should be someone who can bank on the same. The same is lacking in the party.

On the other hand, the party lost the 2019 polls cheaply and is yet to come out of the crisis. As if that is not enough party chief Chandrababu Naidu is on remand. The leaders in the party could not even put up a strong fight against the arrest. This speaks volumes about the struggles in the party.

When the party chief is arrested, the leaders should take an active role in the protests. We cannot expect such a party to win more seats.

On the other hand, the ruling party is in a different zone. It won the 2019 polls with a supermajority and wants to repeat the same. It is implementing welfare schemes like no other party. The welfare schemes are reaching every section in the society and the beneficiaries have a good image for the party.

Amid this, TDP is saying that the India TV-CNX Poll survey says it will win 10 seats. Many say that, the survey is giving fake hope to the TDP.
