In fact, the IT sector was literally exploited by millions of skilled professional professionals for nearly 20 years.
But it appears that the IT sector has nearly saturated now, and there are not going to be any fresh opportunities to such a large capacity in the near future.
For instance, we are hearing that the H1B Visa program and subsequent job opportunities in the United States are also starting to dry up and on top of that Indians are having to return back due to reduced opportunities. The sad part for them here is that the IT situation in India is not much great either.
We are experiencing a cultural and social phenomenon where finding new jobs after losing the old ones due to company layoffs has become extremely tough. In this prevailing job market, it is next to impossible for recently fire employee to find a new job and keep things going.
So if we consider the alternative carrier options for the younger folk, there would be multiple options like AI, learning or creative fields like cinema making and social media content. It is essential that the current generation to diversify the portfolio and look at good different options for careers rather than go after this software sector blindly.
This transition is not going to be easy as creative fields require a lot of innovation and creative thinking, unlike the standard programmed software learning. But this is the changing trend that is evolving, and it is time for the younger folk to be more prepared for the same.
