The trade process is nothing short of any thriller with twists and turns. At last, the all-rounder was traded to the franchise.
Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was traded to the Mumbai Indians team the other day. It was a homecoming for Hardik Pandya who was with MI for seven consecutive editions. He was the skipper of the Gujarat Titans team and he took his side to the World Cup glory in his maiden edition as skipper.
As Hardik Pandya came back to the MI fold the team is celebrating this. Mumbai Indians family welcomed the all-rounder. Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani welcomed the star all-rounder back to the MI family.
"Seeing Hardik back at Mumbai Indians makes me very happy. It is a happy homecoming. He provides great balance to any team he plays. Hardik's first stint with the MI family was hugely successful, and we hope he achieves even more success in his second stint," Akash Ambani said.
"We are thrilled to welcome Hardik back home! It's a heartwarming reunion with our Mumbai Indians family! From being a young scouted talent of Mumbai Indians to now being a team India star, Hardik has come a long way and we're excited for what the future holds for him and Mumbai Indians!" Nita Ambani said.
Hardik Pandya was released by the MI management ahead of the mega auction. Gujarat Titans bought him and led the team. Under his captaincy GT lifted the trophy once and became the runner-up in another final clash.
It appears that MI traded Hardik Pandya keeping the long-term needs in mind. Serving MI skipper Rohit Sharma is already 36. He might be playing just a few editions. With this, the team management might have traded Hardik Pandya in an all-cash trade.
