A heavy downpour had hit the UAE with severe waterlogging. The continuous rainfall made it tough for the Middle East region. The rain water even reached airports.
UAE city Dubai faced heavy rainfall and experts say that this is the heaviest rainfall Dubai witnessed. In just a few hours the city is said to have witnessed rainfall of a year leading to water everywhere. Vehicles were struck in water on the roads.
Many wonder what made Dubai face the situation as it is known for high temperatures. A big debate is going on which says that cloud seeding might have triggered the heavy rain. Not just Dubai, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman were also hit by the rain.
Amid this many wonder if cloud seeding played a big role in giving space to the heavy rain. Rainfall is a natural thing and we see rain in the season. But it is not the same thing in regions where the temperature is quite high.
Cloud Seeding is a practice of triggering artificial rainfall. As part of this, either silver iodide or salt is filled into selected clouds. As a result, we can see rainfall in the required region. This has the potential to trigger rainfall so that the temperature can come down.
However, there are also a few negative impacts like changes in conditions. As the cloud seeding was made many say that this might have led to the change in conditions and severe rainfall was recorded. However, the administration denied the allegations.
