In a development that had increased the political heat in Andhra Pradesh, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to remand in connection with the alleged AP Skill Development Scam. This is the first time that Chandrababu was arrested in his political career.

After the arrest was made, the TDP leaders and sympathisers started to blame the government and breathed fire asking how a former Chief Minister could be arrested without any evidence and not following the due procedure. While the TDP supporters are saying this, the neutral people have a few questions here.

Shedding light on the allegations faced by Chandrababu Naidu in this case, they ask why the remand was granted. He was sent to a remand by the court after going through the documents and data that were submitted. After lawyers of both sides placed their arguments, he was sent to remand.

Many say that the remand was granted by the court after considering the evidence and hence there is no space for political vendetta. Few others say that the alleged scam that happened in the previous government came back to bite him.

Those who see the arrest as a normal procedure are citing the examples of former Chief Ministers and Chief Ministers who were arrested and sent to jail for irregularities and scams during their tenure. They give the examples of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Jayalalithaa, and others.

After the state bifurcation, AP went for elections and TDP won the first elections. In the election, the party highlighted the experience of Chandrababu and said only he was the right one to become the CM and he could develop the state.

It was also campaigned that Babu can bring jobs to the youth. After coming to power, a scheme was brought to provide skill development training for the youth. However, there are allegations that the scheme was not implemented as it was supposed to be and the money was diverted to other ways.

After the change in government, light was shed on the alleged irregularities in the previous government. After digging deeper into the issue, Chandrababu Naidu, ex-Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and his son were arrested.
