Police Crack Mystery: How Bus Fire Accident Happened?

The horrifying bus fire accident that happened on the Hyderabad Bengaluru Highway is still fresh in the memory of the Telugu community. Sadly, 20 lives were lost in this horrifying incident and this happens to be the worst human tragedy in recent times.

Police have launched a detailed investigation into how the Karuvula bus fire accident occurred. CCTV footage from areas near the accident site revealed that about three kilometers before the incident, a biker named Shiva Shankar stopped at a petrol bunk.

Reports indicate that Shiva Shankar was under the influence of alcohol at that time and was accompanied by another person. After the accident, Shiva Shankar died on the spot while the other man went missing.

Using CCTV visuals and eyewitness accounts, police identified the second person as Erriswamy and took him into custody for questioning. During interrogation, Erriswamy explained that before the bus arrived, their bike had lost control and hit a divider, leading to Shiva Shankar’s death on the spot. As he tried to pull the damaged bike aside from the road, a bus coming from behind ran over the motorcycle.

He further revealed that the trapped bike caused sparks, which went unnoticed by the driver, who continued to drive some distance.

This friction triggered a fire, spreading rapidly through the bus. Seeing the flames, Erriswamy panicked and fled the scene. Police are now verifying his statement as part of their ongoing investigation into the tragic accident.
