INDIA Alliance To Take Harsh Decision On Media?

The opposition parties which want to defeat the mighty Bharatiya Janata Party came together and the alliance was named INDIA. Despite the parties having a common interest, to defeat BJP the alliance is yet to taste a big success. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments almost created cracks in the alliance with the parties distancing themselves with the comments.

Now the alliance came with a sensational decision which is getting a wide range of reactions from one and all. It is said that the alliance wants to keep the newspapers and media outlets that are not in favour of it away.

Many say that INDIA’s decision on this is a big shock and would impact it back. The opposition parties are not that strong and they need strong support from the media. We have seen what had happened with the Bharat Jodo yatra. Rahul Gandhi's yatra was well covered by the media. The situation would have been different if the media coverage was not given.

It is a known fact that almost every party has a media that supports it. Be it a newspaper or channel, the political parties have supporting media. It is not that the INDIA alliance doesn't know that. However, the opposition parties reportedly want to go ahead with the decision.

We cannot say that every media house has its stand and carries out the news based on the stand. They just follow the rules and cover the news. If the alliance feels that the neutral media is not in favour of it and keeps it away from it, then the INDIA alliance would only get affected.

Despite negative areas and criticism, the BJP is looking strong and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image is still intact. Now if the media is banned then the alliance will face a big blow and this might even reduce its winning chances.
