IPL 2025 Official: Who Qualified, Who Got Eliminated?

One of the crucial passages of play in the ongoing season of the IPL has been completed in the form of the finalisation of the teams that have qualified for the play-offs. The top four teams in the league have automatically qualified for the play-offs and here is a look into this story.

The four teams that have qualified for the next stage are Mumbai, Indians, Bengaluru, Punjab, and Gujarat. All four of them have managed to successfully complete the league stage and then progress to the knockouts.

The rest of the teams, including the champion sites like Chennai, Kolkata, and Rajasthan have failed to qualify for the knockout stages this year. The most shocking defeat comes in the form of the departure of Delhi Capitals, who were at the top of the table during the compilation of the first half of the tournament.

At this point, every other league game in the tournament that is going to be to dead rubber. The fat of the play-offs has been settled with nearly 4 to 5 days of league games left, and what this means is that the rest of the games are simply played for the sake of it.

Meanwhile, there are several discussions about the nature of the venues that are going to be selected for the play-offs. The strong opinion is that the crucial matches in the knockout stage must not be held entirely in Gujarat, which could give them a natural advantage.
