Official: 2 Teams Eliminated From IPL: Who Are They?

Today turned out to be a very interesting day in the ongoing season of IPL has not just one, but two teams got eliminated from the league in a span of few hours.

First, the game between Lucknow and Chennai ended up in the favour of the Chennai Super Kings franchise, which resulted in Lucknow getting eliminated from the tournament this year. Lucknow happened to be the first team to be eliminated from IPL 2026.

This was followed by another elimination as Mumbai Indians came up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

This game also ended up in favour of Bengaluru, which resulted in Mumbai getting eliminated and they happened to be the second team to be picked out of the tournament this year.

In a span of a few hours today, not just a single team but two team ended up getting eliminated from IPL 2026, and they are Mumbai Indians and Lucknow super Giants. This is going to be a very poor result for both the franchise, considering that great things were expected of this season.

As of now, it appears that Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat have the best chances of qualification for the play-offs. We have to see if Chennai Super Kings, which has been reasonably good in the recent will also have a shot at it.

It is good to see Hyderabad turning out to be one of the title favourites for the ongoing season of IPL 2026, with their brilliant performances in the recent games.
