Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan joined hands with the grand old Telugu Desam Party for alliance. After Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to jail, Pawan announced an alliance with the party. He said that for the betterment of the state he took the decision.
After 2014 both parties are working together again. The only difference is that the BJP is absent. However, Pawan Kalyan's decision to walk with TDP raised a few questions on what is the need for this as he can walk alone and face the elections.
Recently veteran Kapu leader Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah shot a letter at Pawan Kalyan asking why he is working with TDP. He even alleged that Pawan Kalyan compromised on the Kapu interests.
Now former Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao who is with the BJP made some crucial comments on the alliance and said that it is nothing but a big blunder from Pawan Kalyan's side. He came up with an analysis to back his comments.
Ex-Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao said that there is a big space for the third option in the state as an alternative to YCP and TDP. If Pawan Kalyan had planned better he would have emerged as the alternative.
He went on to say that people in the state saw what YCP and TDP did in ruling and are in the mood for an alternative. People want a change and Janasena would have become one. But Pawan made a blunder by joining hands with TDP, he said.
Rao feels that if Janasena had contested alone it might be an alternative and people might support it. In that situation, there might be a hung in the state. Talking about the alliance he felt that a better negotiation might have been done and Janasena might have got more seats.
He took a strong objection to Pawan Kalyan taking part in TDP's programs like Yuva Galam and others and asked why he had to do such things which would bring his value down. His comments are getting a wide range of attention from one and all. Looking at what he said many doubt whether Pawan Kalyan let the big opportunity of becoming the king maker in politics go.
