By: Tupaki Desk | 4 May 2024 10:48 AM GMTOnly a few days left for the much-awaited elections in Andhra Pradesh. The major parties are busy with the campaign and other activities aiming for power. The elections are going to be between YSRCP and the alliance. The same happened in 2014 and we have to see what happens next.
Talking about the ruling YSRCP, it is going with the goal of winning more seats than it did in 2019. If possible it wants to win 175 out of 175 seats which is looking like a tough job. No party had managed to sweep the polls so far.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is busy holding meetings in key constituencies. He recently gave an interview to a national channel and made sensational comments.
During the interview, he was asked about changing the candidates as this happened in many seats. Defending this, Jagan said that the decision was taken due to the survey results.
The Chief Minister said that some MLAs got negative opinions in the surveys and with this the changes were made. He said that this is common for everyone.
When asked about the alliance between the parties and BJP-TDP joining hands saying for development, Jagan asked for what they maintained cordial relations with the BJP government at the Centre. The AP CM said that they maintained cordial relations for the state interests.
Jagan was asked another question on supporting BJP if it falls 20 seats short. To this, the CM said that this is hypothetical question as BJP is with those who are fighting him.
