Flash: Another AP Ex-Minister Arrested!

This already known that former minister in YS Jagan Cabinet Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy was already arrested and released by Andhra Pradesh police in an electoral case. Now it is the turn of another Andhra Pradesh farmer cabinet Minister to face the heat.

Several YSR Congress leaders are accused of abusing power and carrying out antisocial activities during Jagan’s time as the chief of Andhra Pradesh. One such politician who faced several allegations is Kakani Govardhan Reddy who was a former minister in the Jagan cabinet.

Govardhan Reddy is accused of multiple land grabbing and illegal mining activities. In one such case that has been filed against him, he has now had to face the legal consequences as he was arrested by Andhra Pradesh police.

Reportedly Andhra Pradesh Police arrested Govardhan Reddy while he was absconding in Kerala. He is arrested in a case related to usage of illegal explosives in mining lands and also threatened the indigenous tribal communities that opposed him.

Govardhan Reddy had approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court and also the Supreme Court for anticipatory bail, but his advancements were rejected by the judicial body. Subsequently, he was arrested by the AP police in Kerala while he was absconding and escaping police action.
