The BRS party which pinned high hopes on the general elections had to face a rude shock. The two-time winner has its eyes on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to make a strong comeback. The party leadership is holding meetings with the leaders and cadres on the same issue.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, an interesting thing has come out which says that the KCR family is staying away from Lok Sabha polls after a long time. No one would have felt that the party would face such a plight that it had to stay away from a fight.

If we look at the 2014 polls no family member of KCR is in the race. The BRS leadership announced candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. Not even a single family member was on the list.

As BRS wants to come back, it was earlier reported that either KTR or Harish Rao might be in the race. But the candidates list says the reports of KCR family members being in the race are not true.

Kavitha who was an MP earlier lost the elections to a BJP candidate. It was reported that she might get a ticket as an MP. But this also did not happen as Kavitha was arrested. As there is no clarity on whether she would have contested if not for her arrest she cannot contest now as she is in remand.

KCR has a very long legacy in politics as he served as the Cabinet Minister too. But he decided to fight hard for the Telangana movement and started the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) which became Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) later.

It's been over two decades since TRS was started and since then the Kalvakuntla family has been contesting every MP election. But for the first time, the Kalvakuntla family stayed away from the polls in 23 years which was not expected.
