The actress also expressed her interest in being the candidate for the elections. Making the reports true she was announced as the candidate.
After Kangana Ranaut made it to the list of candidates her fans took to social media to share their happiness. But a post that came from the account of a Congress ladder created a political sensation and raised many eyeballs.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate who is an active member in the party landed in a big controversy when an objectionable post which aimed at the actress came from her account. The BJP leaders, mainly the women leaders, took a strong objection to this.
Supriya Shrinate reacted to the controversy and said that it was not her who posted that and people who have access to her account might have done this and withdrawn the post after she came across it.
But the Controversy did not stop and even became bigger. The likes of former President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee also took a strong objection to this and asked how such comments could be made and even targeted the ‘Nari Nyay’ slogan.
But the issue took a big turn with the entry of the National Commission for Women. The body moved the Election Commission against HS Ahir and Supriya Shrinate seeking strict action for their unwanted comments. Chairperson Rekha Sharma had written a letter to the EC in this regard.
After the controversial post came to light Kangana Ranaut gave a fierce reply to the Congress leader saying that in her career she played many roles and every woman needs to be respected.
"Dear Supriya ji, In the last 20 years of my career as an artist I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii,” Kangana said on social media.
