Celebrated Kapu Leader To Join YSRCP's Armoury Soon?

We are already seeing some interesting developments in Andhra Pradesh. The poll-bound state already kept the ruling and opposition parties busy with the preparations for the much-awaited elections. Compared to the opposition parties, the ruling YCP is on a spree of making some big changes.

YSRCP which is adamant about winning the next elections at any cost is changing the party in-charges and we are also hearing that a few sitting MLAs might also be denied tickets this time. However, there is no official confirmation of this.

Now what we are hearing is that a veteran Kapu leader might join the armoury of the YCP. He might join the YCP very soon and instead of him, his son would be given a ticket as an MLA or MP for the upcoming elections.

As per the media reports Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham might take the YSRCP route soon. However, there is a catch in this possibility. He might not get a ticket and instead, his son might get an MLA ticket. We might get clarity on this in a few days.

It has to be mentioned here that the Kapu community's population in Andhra Pradesh is significant and the community can be a deciding factor in a few regions in Godavari districts. Minding this, Mudragada Padmanabham's son might be given a ticket either as MLA or MP if everything goes well.

Mudragada Padmanabham is not active in politics these days. When the TDP was in power, he was very aggressive in fighting for the reservations of the community. His fight even attracted a few cases for him. However, he is not active after the government changed.

A few months back Mudragada Padmanabham hinted at making a comeback by saying he would announce his next move soon. Now it appears that this is the time for him to make a comeback with a catch.

Mudragada is a fierce critic of Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan and never misses an opportunity to attack them. This factor might also play a key role in the former Minister joining the ruling YSRCP.
