India and Pakistan partition can be dubbed as one of the most violent episodes in the history of mankind given the violence that was involved. Lakhs of people were killed in the process and thousands of people lost their families. Despite being our neighbour Pakistan is seen as arch-rivals in Cricket.

Even after decades of partition, Pakistan and related issues would see reference in Indian politics. Earlier we saw a few people having Pakistani flags on their houses and raising pro-Pakistan slogans.

Now a political sensation was raised in Karnataka as a few supporters are said to have raised slogans in favour of Pakistan. 3 candidates won the Rajya Sabha elections and they were announced winners. The celebrations took a sensational turn as it was reported that pro-Pakistan slogans were raised.

The Bharatiya Janata Party did not like what happened so they called for protests. It is said that a Police complaint was also filed over the incident. An alleged video which is said to have been from the Congress celebrations is now doing rounds. BJP leaders are widely sharing the video and attacking the Congress party.

The Karnataka wing of BJP is doing a big protest and a few events were also held. The sensation around the issue is such that even the Chief Minister had to respond. In his response, the Chief Minister said that he would take strict action on the issue.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah responded to this and said that they would look into the allegations and if they were proven strict action would be taken.

Adding intensity to the issue, the BJP leaders called for a protest and even sat on the protest outside the Assembly. They ask how the Congress supporters can raise pro-Pakistan slogans.
