Why KCR Picked Two Seats For Next Elections?

For the past few weeks, we have been hearing a lot that the ruling BRS would announce the list of candidates for the upcoming elections. Putting an end to this, the list was announced. The ruling party announced the candidates list for all the Assembly candidates, leaving four seats.

The interesting thing concerning the elections is that CM KCR is going to run for two seats. While sticking to his Gajwel seat, the BRS boss is also trying his luck in the Kamareddy seat. While announcing the candidates list, the Chief Minister said that he is contesting two seats.

Giving a reason for this, he said that "The Party decided this and he is contesting. Adding further, KCR said that it is the Kamareddy MLA's call and he met him and asked him to contest from there and he is obliging his request. The Nizamabad Minister asked him. A Few others also asked me to contest in their regions, but I picked. There is nothing special in this".

Though KCR Gave a reason, political observers say that there might be another reason behind this. It is known that Huzurabad MLA Etela Rajender is targeting KCR aggressively and is openly saying that he would contest KCR in Gajwel.

Though there is no clarity on whether BJP would give Etela a chance to contest from there, many say that this might be a safety measure. Etela is not a small leader and he is a strong BC leader. Etela also took part in the Telangana movement actively.

The second reason many say here is, to make the party strong in North Telangana, KCR might have picked Kamareaddy as the second seat.
