He is the Deputy Chief Minister of one of the big states. He increased the political heat with his sensational comments. He alleged that black magic was performed against him and the Chief Minister.
Senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar who is the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka created a sensation by alleging that black magic is being done against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He said that he got to know about this.
He even said that a few political people in Karnataka got the Shatru Bhairavi Yaga done by consulting Aghoris. DK Shiva Kumar said that the practice was done at a temple in Kerala and Pancha Bali was also performed and a few animals were also sacrificed.
Without any doubt, his comments created a big sensation. In the recent past, we have not seen any leader passing such explosive comments. After making the sensational comments the DK Shivakumar said that they have the support of the people and they are not worried about the black magic.
His comments led to an intense debate on who would have done the black magic and what would they gain from this. Another doubt people have is whether black magic has any impact if at all it is done.
Adding a new twist to this, a Kerala Minister responded to this and said that such practices are not present in the state. However, the Minister also said that they would look into the issue.
As per the reports, Kerala Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice R Bindu responded to the comments and said that black magic is not practiced in Kerala. Saying that such practices are followed in other parts of the country, the Minister said it is not followed in Kerala. However, the Minister said that there is a need to look into the matter to see if the practices are followed in Kerala too.
On the other hand, Akeeraman Kalidasan Bhattathiripad, a Brahmin body in Kerala hit back at the comments made by DK Shiva Kumar saying that practices are not followed. The body rubbished the claims made by the Deputy Chief Minister.
