Foreign investments are not coming to the state and the situation would be different if Chandrababu is the chief minister is what we hear often from the TDP and the yellow batch. Since 2019, the attack has been intense and they didn’t leave any stone unturned in this regard.

From party chief Chandrababu to other leaders everyone says the same. Andhra Pradesh was divided without a proper capital city that too with a deficit budget. No matter who is in power, developing the state is the need of the hour. The opposition parties should support and welcome the ruling party for the development it is doing.

Instead of doing this, the TDP has been trying to create an opinion among the people that no investments are coming to the state and there is no development. TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar raised a question on the same topic hoping that a positive response would come from the concerned Minister.

But Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash spoiled TDP’s plans and listed out the investments that came to the state. He said that the investments came in record numbers. In a written reply, he said that the investments are increasing every year.

The Minister said that between 2019 October to 2020 March, the state saw foreign investments of 200.97 million dollars. Between 2020-21 85.85 million dollars were invested followed by 224.96 million dollars and 284.22 million dollars between 2021-22 and 2022-23 respectively.

The foreign investments the state saw are a big example of how good Jagan has been as the Chief Minister. After the Covid outbreak, many states took some time to come out of the crisis. But AP bounced back and attracted foreign investments in big numbers.

This is not the first time the TDP leaders tried to project that nothing is happening in the state and no big investments are coming to AP. The Jagan government held a global Investors summit in Vizag and the meeting got a good response from big industries like Ambani, Adani, and others.

Instead of feeling happy to see that state getting big investments, the TDP leaders and pro-media gave their best efforts to create an opinion that the investments are not coming to the state. But the investments that came to the state spoke of what Jagan did in the last four years and this is enough to keep those who criticize the government shut their mouths.
