After a gap of two-and-a-half months, the Yuvagalam yatra of party general secretary Nara Lokesh Babu will restart from November 27. The yatra will resume from November 24 from the same place where it was abandoned. The yatra would cover East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts and would culminate in Visakhapatnam.

TDP sources said that the yatra would continue for 18 days. Lokesh is expected to focus on the failures of the YSRCP government and will also highlight the incarceration of his father Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Rajahmundry prison. The party is also planning to ensure that all the key leaders of the party remain among the general public and would go the whole hog against the YSRCP government.

Lokesh Babu's padayatra was abandoned at Podalada in East Godavari after Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in connection with the skill development case. Soon after the arrest of his father, Lokesh shifted his base to Delhi to lobby for Naidu's release. Now that Chandrababu Naidu secured a bail, the party is planning to relaunch the yatra from Razole in Konaseema district. The TDP has also decided to ensure that most of its key leaders spend their time among the public and mobilize public opinion against the YSRCP government. The party will now go whole hog against the Jagan government till the 2024 elections.

Ahead of his proposed yatra, Lokesh took to Twitter, now X, and said that Jagan would soon end up in the prison for his acts of omission and commission. He said that a prisoner's uniform was waiting for YS Jagan in Rajahmundry jail. He said the people were vexed with the government and were waiting for an opportunity to dethrone YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
