Lok Sabha Polls: 2 Film Stars To Feature On BJP’s First List?

Celebrities and politics have an undeniable connection. Celebrities are the top preferred candidates for the parties to field them as candidates. We have seen celebrities turning candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. It appears that the same trend will happen in the upcoming elections too.

Media reports say that the BJP wants to field a few celebrities as the candidates. The first list of candidates featuring 110 names is likely to be announced soon. If everything goes well we might see two big stars as the candidates on the list.

As per the media reports, Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar and Queen Kangana Ranaut might feature in the list. While Akshay might be fielded from Chandni Chowk, Kangana might be given the Mandi ticket from Himachal Pradesh, her own state.

Both actors are dubbed as pro-BJP as they are said to have good ties with the BJP leaders. Akshay Kumar never openly spoke about BJP. But Kangana is not like that. She is a vocal supporter of BJP and shows her support to the party and Narendra Modi. The same nature made her lock horns with the previous Maharashtra government. She was given a security cover too.

Akshay Kumar interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few times making him get the image of pro-BJP. The same image might have played a role in the leadership reportedly showing interest.

This is not the first time the BJP has given tickets to celebrities. In the last elections World Cup-winning player Gautam Gambhir, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol. Bollywood dream girl Hema Malini was given a ticket in 2014 and 2019 and she won two polls. She might get a ticket for the third time.

BJP is expected to release the first list of candidates with 110 names. If we have to take anything from the media reports then the Bollywood stars might get a chance to appear on the list.
