Why did Meghalaya CM meet KCR?: Did they discuss national politics??

A sudden meeting of Meghalaya chief minister with Telangana chief minister Conrad Sangma at the Pragathi Bhavan has created a flutter in the political arena on Thursday. The two remained closeted for over an hour and discussed politics and other issues for over an hour.

The meeting assumes significance as Sangmas National Peoples Party is considered close to the BJP-led NDA. Though it contested elections separately in Meghalaya the Sangma government has the support of the BJP which has two MLAs in Meghalaya. At the Centre the NPP is voting in favour of the BJP in both houses of Parliament.

KCR and Sangma reportedly discussed national politics especially the situation arising out of the formation of the I.N.D.I.A front led by the Congress Party. They also discussed the political scenario across the country and the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha in 2024.

Another interesting aspect is that the two leaders have reportedly discussed the upcoming special session of parliament which will be held from September 18 till 22. They discussed the common strategy to be adopted. Earlier Sangma met Minister KTR and visited the T Hub.
