For some time it has been reported that YCP Minister Gummanur Jayaram is not happy with the party leadership and he might leave the party. Making the reports true he announced his resignation from the party's membership and position. Jayram said that he would join the TDP.

As Jayaram announced the decision to join TDP, Nara Lokesh's old comments went viral. The former Minister once said that in any situation the leaders against whom they make allegations will not be invited into the party. It is known that TDP leaders often accuse the ruling party members of wrongdoing.

The YCP leaders who are accused of wrongdoings will not be allowed in the party is what Nara Lokesh said. But the reality is different and Gummanur Jayaram was allowed to be a part of the party. He is likely to wear a party shawl soon.

It has to be mentioned here that earlier Gummanur Jayaram was brutally targeted by the TDP leaders. Earlier Benz car politics rocked the Andhra Pradesh politics as the Minister's son was accused of taking a costly Benz car as a gift in connection with a scam.

Even TDP chief Nara Chandrababu took Benz car jibes at him over the issue. On many occasions, he used the jibes. A few senior leaders also targeted the Minister on this issue. Considering this, it is very tough to imagine the Minister joining the TDP.

Back then Gummanur Jayaram and Ayyanna Patrudu had an ugly war of words on the alleged Benz Car row. Cut to a few years now the Minister is all set to join the TDP.

TDP leaders targeting Gummanur Jayaram and now gearing up to welcome him caught everyone's attention. Many say that such incidents raise big questions about the credibility and the inconsistent stand of the grand old Telugu. Political observers say that the issue would become a weapon for the ruling party to target the TDP. Let us wait and see.
