No takers in Jana Sena for Mudragada's brand of politics?

Which way for old warhorse Mudragada Padmanabham? This Kapu patriarch is now not wanted by any political party these days. He is finding himself unwelcome in every party that matters. Though he is trying to join Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena, the party is said to be none too keen at allowing him in.

Mudragada has been in and out of almost every political party. He was with the Janata Party and then switched to the TDP. From the TDP, he moved to the Congress Party. He was then with the BJP for four years. Then his tryst with the TDP and Congress happened again. In the 2019 elections, he backed the YSRCP. Now wants to get into the Jana Sena.

If his temperamental issue and his whimsical resignations are putting off most parties, his sway over Kapu community sentiment has attracted most parties. However, sources say that he has demanded an MP ticket for himself and an MLA ticket for his son. The Jana Sena, if sources are to be believed, was willing to agree to even this.

However, there are lingering doubts about his political utility. Today's politics have changed and Mudragada's brand of politics are dated, most parties feel. Secondly, his refusal to live by the party's code is also a major problem. As a result, the grand old leader is not finding a welcome smile from any party.
